This is an ideal family breakfast for a weekend morning. Getting your family onboard with healthy eating can help you stick to your diet. Place this tasty, colorful tray down at the breakfast table to start the day right for you and your family.

This platter is also a lovely snack to serve at a picnic or as an appetizer at a party.

Serves 4.

2 cups low-fat cottage cheese
1 granny smith apple, sliced, not peeled
1 macintosh apple, sliced, not peeled
½ cup baby carrots
1 cup multigrain bagel thins
1 cup dried apricots

Spoon cottage cheese into a small bowl in the center of a large circular tray.
Arrange apple slices in a circle around the cottage cheese, with the skin sides facing the same direction to create a slightly spiraled design. Alternate granny smith and macintosh slices to create an alternating color pinwheel

Place a baby carrot between each apple slice, facing outward like the rays of simple sun.

Arrange the apricots and bagel thins around the outside rim of the tray, alternating bagel thin and apricot.
